Throwing out a potential itinerary for me. Happy to have company at any point along the way.

  • mid day arrival Wednesday
  • check in at La Quinta before biking or scootering to Bianco Pizzeria for a lunch #priorities #carbloading
  • back to Mesa to settle in and float in the pool
  • out later for munchies and pints at any of their breweries
  • Thursday AM at Longbow. Looks like a decent budget friendly desert golf experience
  • back to the hotel for final scripting and TC hot takes.
Pumped for this one. Let me know if you want to join in on the fun but either way, let’s all have a time!
Enjoy the long weekend and we’ll see you’s soon.

Still spots available and I’ll shoot you a DM shortly with some more info.

Do the vets have any suggestions on this? Seems like a car rental is cheaper or pretty equivalent to a bike/scooter rental.

Wait a minute.

Are you guys taking scooters from the airport to the golf course?

Car rental is probably cheaper if you’re doing additional golf.

I would do Waymo/Uber if I’m there just for the event and nothing else. Also don’t need to worry about drink and drive.

The rental center at PHX is so bad I would consider scootering

Waymo’s got the job done last year :man_shrugging:

I’d just suggest living in Phoenix and taking your own car thus avoiding the PHX rental situation altogether. I do hear it’s quite bad though.

The car rental centre itself is not as bad as others make it to be. There’s a train that takes you there, which makes it better than the ones with bus shuttles.

Now, if you’re relying on Hertz to give you a large luxury SUV, good luck on that.

I do think Waymo is probably the way to go. Idk how the price compares to rentals but it’s a unique option that you can’t find a lot of other places. May as well experience it.

The whole facility sucks. If the highlight of it is taking the train instead of a bus in not sure it has any redeemable qualities. I feel like each company there is the worst version of themselves even with status. As you’ve mentioned with hertz letting you down. Again this is all first world problems but that place irks me

Love the discourse. As an old man that likes to travel cheap, it’ll be Uber/Waymo when there’s clubs/luggage involved and one of those e-scooter apps when heading in for pizza or pints. It looks like Spin or Lime are available all around town.
I dunno, each is their own. But that’ll be my means of transportation.

TIL waymo is an actual thing real people actually use and not just a way for lawyers to get billable hours.

Just have @Jpop942 chauffeur you around town.

Pumped to be joining! Working on the hotel situation currently, is there a central location people are fixing on?

I’ll be north of the course staying in Scottsdale for the casino and food options lol. It’s a short drive
