Just discovered this thread, very in for this. I also think it would be good for my golf game to “earn” my clubs throughout the winter. Getting out there with just a driver, 7i and putter would force me to at least learn how to hit driver off the deck and work some knockdown shots. And wean me off my zillion wedges.

Also a big fan of non-gym, body weight exercise goals for those who don’t have consistent gym access for any reason. And that way @SeymourByrdees can have an excuse to do coordinator exercises!

Also, I would like to suggest an idea: some kind of public spreadsheet where we track our clubs earned, how they were earned, and dates each one was earned.

Happy to build something once the fitness terms are settled (I don’t think I’m qualified to be part of that discussion)

Edit: on top of this, a fitness challenge factor to keep this interesting/overly complicated: if a refugee doubts that another refugee has truly accomplished a feat (say, 30 full push-ups in a minute or whatever), they can challenge that refugee (within 24 hours of the accomplishment being claimed, no days-later litigating) to post video/photo evidence of said feat. If the evidence is not provided, the claimed club is taken away. If evidence is in fact provided, the person who challenged the claim loses 2 clubs as punishment for doubting the claim.

This is great- hardest part of doing home/insanity workouts is no accountability needed (“no Shawn T I will not do this set of jumps”) so this is just what I need

What about fitness tracker data. I’m not filming myself running a mile.

It should be like golf, honor system. It is all about intent.

Crap, we have to film ourselves running a mile?

That would seem fine by me.

I’m intrigued but as a skinny boi weigh in does nothing for me. I like the idea of a base level of fitness and then an incremental improvement (mile time, 30 minute peloton top output, push-ups, plank, etc.)

EDIT- I read more above and realize this is exactly what is being proposed. Game on!

Got out over my skis today, there will be plenty of room for improvement in the coming months

 skinny fat with no muscle mass is a better description. Michael Cera-esque.

Wait, how did I miss this thread. I’m in on this.

Can I say this is unfair? Should have done this at the start of COVID. When I was 50lbs heavier. I don’t have anything else to lose lol

Can I be in even though I won’t be a part of any tournaments (Aussie problems)?

Gonna send a message and get some clarity about whether this thread will be accessible on Refuge 2.0, then potentially amend the sign-up sheet. Stay tuned.

I’m 100% in.

Pretty sure this would just be for Nest members though. If they start giving exemptions from the paywall it kind of defeats the purpose.
